2(a) 10 units ; (b)1/3 ; (c) y = (1/3)x + 7 ; (d) (12 , 7), (e) 60 units sq

3(a) ( -4 , 0) ; (b) ( 2 , 4 ) ; (c) 16 units sq

4. (Answers will be discussed in class.)

5(a) a = 2 ; (b) y = (1/2)x + 7 ; (c) -2 ; (d) y = -2x - 3 ; (e) ( -4 , 5)

6(a) y = -2x + 4 ; (b) A = ( 3 , -2) ; B = ( -3 , -2) ; C = (0 , 4)
